"Doc & The Baron" bring racing to the airwaves

Pete Kules, "The Doctor of Trackside Commentary," and Mike Penna, "The Baron of the Backstretch", are taking equine industry radio coverage to new heights with their weekly talk show, The Lexus Equine Forum. Formerly known as "From the Backstretch to the Winner's Circle", the program is the longest continuously airing radio program on Thoroughbred Racing in America, spanning more than 17 years.

In July of 2005, Mike and Pete launched an exciting new endeavor when they began to establish a radio network for thoroughbred racing. The co-hosts provided fans with 10 live broadcasts covering more than 15 major stakes races from Churchill Downs, Arlington Park, and Turfway Park. The broadcasts feauture pre and post race interviews with jockeys, trainers, and handicappers, and include the announcers live call of the races.

Based on overwhelming positive feedback, Mike and Pete have more than doubled their feature race coverage for 2007 to include major Grade 1 events such as Donn Handicap, Florida Derby, Stephen Foster, Arlington Million, Beverly D, and the Clark Handicap.
